A little more about me.

I began my career in the entertainment industry in 1997 when one of my own original screenplays was optioned by a small production company in New York. The project was never produced and I moved to Los Angeles in 1998 where I started working as a Production Assistant for Lakeshore Entertainment. One of the responsibilities of being a Production Assistant was supporting the Development Department by reading newly submitted materials (scripts, novels, comic books, etc) and providing analysis by way of writing coverage.

I was able to distinguish myself as a reliable analyst and coverage writer, and I was promoted into Lakeshore Entertainment’s Story Department where I worked as an Executive Assistant to the Director of Development and the Director of Acquisitions. My responsibilities as a reader and coverage writer continued to expand and intensify in this position and I worked closely with both executives to bring projects into consideration for production by Lakeshore.

I was ultimately promoted so that my only responsibility was reading newly submitted materials and assisting the Director of Development with analysis and editing. I worked closely with the Director of Development to identify potential new projects for Lakeshore and to edit and refine elements of projects already in Lakeshore’s production pipeline.

In 2007, I started independently consulting, specializing in story analysis and story editing. I have two decades of reading and analysis experience. I have read, analyzed, covered, and edited well over 3000 projects, helping get some of those projects get produced.
